PFPA member Mutallim Orujov lived in Germany for several years. He participated in protests dedicated to protecting the rights of political prisoners in Azerbaijan. On June 1, 2021, Orujov was deported from Germany to Azerbaijan.
According to media sources, Azerbaijani citizens deported from Germany several months ago were questioned by law enforcement agencies, and some of them were arrested on trumped-up charges.
