Rovshan Huseynov, a father of five minors, wrote a statement on his Facebook page, "Free Palestine!" He was immediately arrested by Ganja police the following day. At his trial in the Ganja Court of Grave Crimes, Rovshan Huseynov stated:
"Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also declared freedom for Palestine and even declared the need to create an independent Palestinian state. This statement of his was considered an act of humanism. But when I, a citizen of the country, repeated my president's statement, it was considered a serious crime."
