On December 13, 2022, the Narimanov District Court of Baku reclassified the charge from Article 234.4.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Article 234.1-1 (illegal acquisition, storage, manufacture, processing, or transportation of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances in especially large quantities without intent to sell) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and sentenced the believer to four months' imprisonment in a pretrial detention facility.
