Security forces in southern Russia have arrested a 39-year-old man accused of using the Telegram messaging app to call for missile strikes on Moscow.
The suspect allegedly operated an anonymous Telegram channel under the pseudonym "Walter", where he published extremist material, the Federal Security Service (FSB) said.
According to regional news outlet Utrenniy Yug, which reported the arrest on 14 July, Russian authorities claim the man shares "Ukrainian nationalist ideology".
He is accused of advocating rocket attacks on the Russian capital and inciting violence against Russian servicemen and prisoners of war.
The Krasnodar resident faces charges of publicly inciting terrorism and extremist activity under articles 205.2 and 280 of the Russian criminal code, Yugopolis newspaper reported.
The arrest is part of a wider, ongoing crackdown on online speech in Russia.
In late June, a resident of the nearby port city of Novorossiysk was sent to trial on similar charges after allegedly justifying terrorism in messaging app comments.
