In his court appearance, Amil Bilalov (born in 1994) stated that he had no drugs in his pocket when he was arrested. Police had planted them on him and filmed them. They then forced him to sign a prepared statement. When he refused to sign the statement, the police threatened to bring his wife to the police station and torture her. Amil then denied the charges against him and stated:
"I was actually arrested on false charges of drug use for helping the families of convicted believers."
