He was deported from Germany. According to lawyer N. Karimli, after readmission, his clients were placed in the athletes' village in Baku due to the pandemic and interrogated by individuals in civilian clothes, as well as about their activities in Germany.
Lawyer Neymat Kerimli (who is representing three of the four men arrested after the deportation – Mutallim Orujov, Malik Rzayev, and Jafar Mirzoyev) stated:
"After returning to Baku, these individuals were interrogated and asked to provide information about their activities in Germany. My clients testified under duress. Complaints about torture against them were unsuccessful."
