On July 25, 2024, he was suddenly seized on the street by unknown individuals in civilian clothes. For two days, his relatives were unable to ascertain the fate of the abducted believer, who had been assisting the families of political prisoners. Inquiries to the Ministry of Internal Affairs were met with the response that they had no knowledge of Shirinov's whereabouts.
